"Research has indicated that the brain is not as neatly divided up in this way as we once thought. However, there is nevertheless a tendency for the two cerebral hemispheres to operate in two very different contexts.

"While the left hemisphere is primarily verbal, the right hemisphere is non-verbal. The left is concerned with details, while the right is concerned with the whole. The left hemisphere is concerned with logic and sequence; the right, paradox and pattern. The right hemisphere is also musical and spatial. In some persons, these are reversed, but with most people the left is verbal/logical and the right side is non-verbal/intuitive.

"Folded between the right and left hemispheres is a very important bundle of nerve fibers called the corpus callosum. It is throught the corpus collosum that the left and right sides of the brain communicate with each other."
