i first heard swank while eating steak with my sister and my roommate...we decided it was "good meat chewin' music". usually i don't groove to female vocals...which is weird because i'm a girl...but it seems to me that the current trend for chicks behind the mike is to sing like little girls that have nothing better to do than be upset over some guy dumping them, this in turn shattering their little world thus causing them to sound as if they're about to scurry home and pee their panties...i HATE that! just scream if you're pissed! and what? like nothing else pisses you off besides a man...good lord! anyhow...this trio, formerly known as malachite (wow! how 80's is that?! good call on the name change!) which includes Janet Egan a.k.a "juanita the scene queen" of Boston's WFNX radio on vocals (which might explain the massive amount of airplay track 5 "suck me dry" has gotten on that station) pushes the edges of the envelope of the aforementioned "chick thing"...it's basically chick hard-core. i have to admit, i love "suck me dry"...over all i'd suggest checking it out...however, the CD only has 5 tracks, so you really don't get much music for your buck.
