here’s a disc that you’re gonna want to turn out the lights for. its not what you’re expecting. or maybe it is...if you’re not "normal". this is an out and out noise project that makes the likes of Mr. Bungle (even in their most disturbing soundscapes) sound like some sort of panzie sinatra.
while most of the tracks on this disc have little to nothing in the way of vocals, each track bears some lengthy title elluding, in clue form, to its basic concept. the audio-floggings that lie beneath each of these titles only serve to flesh these concepts out further. as for the concepts themselves, there’s alot being presented here. while most of the disc is fairly aggressive, it has thoughtful moments too. but what the hell is a thoughtful moment in the world of noise? i suppose this is entirely subjective.
anyway, in the aproximate 18 minutes that the disc provides, we travel through a world of amplified, if not painfully distorted realism. from track #1, where we are presented with the instance of "WhAt in g0d’sNamE?...i’m gonnA pukE", we ramble on to the vengful musings of "STABBING sarah in her FaUX caring EYE", and on again to the philosophical mixed, and unmixed versions, of "WATER ISn’t Wet it just makes THINGS Wet." just when we think we might have caught our breath, we are dragged by our ear to hear "TOLERANCE OF A SUPERHERO (annoying LOVE song) ****the smash dance HIT****", one that actually has a dance beat-ish type thing going. and while we may be still stund, mr. couple*a*drinks gives us that bad trip be-bop finish that only a crack addict could truly apreciate ("Famous lasTw0Rds").
if you have any doubts about your sanity pick up this disc now, you just might dig it.
